Nutty, firm and naturally packed with nutrients. 🌱
Red quinoa is a naturally gluten-free seed valued for its protein and fibre content and for providing all nine essential amino acids. It also contains naturally occurring plant compounds such as the flavonoids quercetin and kaempferol, known for their antioxidant properties.
Its nutritional profile makes quinoa a popular choice for balanced everyday meals. The combination of fibre, minerals, antioxidants and complete plant protein may support blood sugar and cholesterol management and can also fit well into diets focused on weight management.
Red quinoa has a richer taste and a slightly firmer, pleasantly chewy texture than white quinoa. It also holds its shape particularly well after cooking, making it especially suitable for cold salads, grain bowls and side dishes where you want the grains to stay separate.
